I’m Vishesh, I’m Vishesh, a backend infrastructure engineer obsessed with the parts of distributed systems that don't show up in documentation — the allocator behavior under load, the replication lag that only appears at 3am, the query plan that changes the moment you add one index.

Most of what I write comes from production. Not hypotheticals. The piece on glibc's memory allocator came from root-causing a goroutine leak that was silently costing us 205 GB of heap per day. The observability writing came from building a Prometheus + Grafana + Loki stack from zero and watching it catch something real before a user did.

I'm currently leading a Django-to-Go strangler-fig migration at Repos Energy, and building Blackvult — a developer tooling company I'm founding on the side.

I write about systems internals, distributed systems, observability, and the gap between how infrastructure is supposed to work and how it actually behaves under pressure. If that's interesting to you, the rest of the articles will be too.

Currently, I’m spending my time as a Backend Engineer at Repos Energy in Pune, while simultaneously developing Project Monarch and leading The Vult. I’m a firm believer in the "learn in public" philosophy—which is why you’ll often find me documenting my findings on Medium or mentoring student developers through global programs like HackMIT & GSSoC.
